Combine outcome, research, policy and statistical evidence to create a powerful argument for the role of your museum, library or archive in supporting learning.

  • The Generic Learning Outcomes provide a framework to talk about the learning outcomes of your institution. They provide the central evidence you require to talk authoritatively about your impact on learning.
  • Include reference to powerful evidence from research and evaluation programmes:

-'History students who use archive sources for personal studies achieve higher grades at A Level'. (Source: MLA's Archives Task Force 'think piece' on Scholarship and Learning)

-'96% of teachers believe that their pupils learn something unique from museum objects being taken into schools' (Reading Museum Service Research)

-'25,000 people had started a course or gained a qualification through using the people's network in its first few months.' (People's Network evaluation)
  • Build your argument using web resources designed to support museums, archives and libraries in learning advocacy
