During the piloting of a new questionnaire for teachers based on the GLOs, Warwick Museum found that it was not as suitable for teachers as they'd intended:

'We had hoped that the modified questionnaire would prompt more specific examples of evidence [of learning] but this wasn't the case. This may be to do with the language of the questionnaire and a confusion about what was meant by evidence, or it may be that the sample was too small to draw any sensible conclusions.'

They decided to collect evidence from the students about their own learning and redesigned the teacher questionnaire.

'to ask the teacher to reflect on his or her [own] learning as well as comment on the success of the visit as before.'
