We worked with fifteen pilot sites to explore three different routes for gathering data on learning. The projects were very diverse.
- Using existing evidence - information already collected was analysed to find evidence of the Generic Learning Outcomes
- Improving existing research tools - even a small adaptation to existing tools substantially changed the type of information the pilot sites were able to collect
- Developing new research tools - pilot sites developed new research tools to gather information about learning
