In this section you will find

  • Examples of tools developed by pilot sites
  • More about the impact of piloting the GLOs

We worked with fifteen pilot sites to explore three different routes for gathering data on learning. The projects were very diverse.

  1. Using existing evidence - information already collected was analysed to find evidence of the Generic Learning Outcomes
  2. Improving existing research tools - even a small adaptation to existing tools substantially changed the type of information the pilot sites were able to collect
  3. Developing new research tools - pilot sites developed new research tools to gather information about learning

'Participation in the pilot has been an important learning opportunity for staff at the Art Gallery… It has helped us to reflect on our current practice and see how we might improve the presentation of the data we hold.'
