Inspiring Learning for All has major implications for museums, archives and libraries. In some places, working with this framework will set in motion a fundamental shift in the museum, archive or library and will mean:

  • Listening to and involving our users
  • Working with and learning from new partners
  • Embracing and communicating a broad understanding of our role in learning
  • Engaging members of staff and governing bodies as learners too

Go further draws on the experience of the museums, archives and libraries piloting Inspiring Learning for All in 2002-2003, and the areas where they felt that the framework contributed most to their development.

'What I like about Inspiring Learning for All is that this is not a test to pass or fail. Wherever you start, you can find things to improve and cogent arguments for doing so which provide hard evidence to support claims for investment, not just in our institutions but to develop the habit of learning.'
