When you are consulting with users:

  • Establish wide support within your organisation for consulting users about the ways in which you engage them in learning
  • Identify and nurture user champions early on. They play a crucial role both in alerting you to difficulties and in motivating others to take part
  • When you develop user surveys, ask a group of users what questions they want to be asked and then pilot the survey with a larger group

Download Guidelines on Involving Users as a checklist for involving users.
Now look again at your Action plan. Does it reflect your intention to involve users more directly in all that you do?

Now go to 'Build partnerships' to continue
